Community Highlights: Meet Ebonne Holyfield of EEH by Ebonne Eshaya Holyfield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebonne Holyfield.

Hi Ebonne, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My fashion journey started as a young child circling pictures of clothes in magazines while eagerly signing my initials “EH” beside each photo as if it was a form of payment. Little did I know that this fun pastime at my grandparent’s house would lead to beautiful dresses and blouses invading my dreams at night. Never giving too much attention to my infatuation with fashion, life later led me to Tyler Perry Studios, where I spent two of my five years working in their Costume Department as a production assistant and buyer. Having the privilege to be in a fast-paced fashion and design atmosphere sparked my interest even more and inspired me to create fashion & lifestyle content through my blog. Starting “The Guest List” granted me access to a creative space where I could share my style unapologetically, indulge in elevated food experiences, discover beautiful home decor, and share fashion tips that would make a woman’s style journey just a little bit easier.

Shortly after establishing my blog and growing away from the film industry, I started working in the Marketing Department at the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Little did I know that I was walking out of a dress code-free environment into a corporate space with a dress code manual. I was quickly faced with little to no luck finding stylish, affordable, corporate-approved work looks that matched my age. As you can imagine, my spirit was shook, and I took matters into my own hands. From that day on in my corporate experience, I started planning and designing solutions that would allow the millennial woman access to a collection of clothing that delivered professionalism without compromising her youthfulness and sense of style. I also wanted to make sure on-the-go women like me had quality outfit options that could transcend one look and instead could be styled for multiple occasions with ease. This pain point has now manifested into a solution and my fashion & lifestyle brand EEH by Ebonne Eshaya Holyfield. My first installation of the brand will be launching on November 5th, 2021, with the premiere of my online boutique EEH Collection.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The process of creating the EEH brand has been filled with beautiful moments and challenging ones. When starting anything new, there will be a learning curve. However, the more I create and commit to my goals, the more I learn that everything is working for my good. Every experience, the good, the bad, and the ugly, is necessary. Lessons lead to victories, so I’m embracing being a novice, remaining grateful for the experience, and trusting the process.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

How do you think about happiness?
There are so many things that make me happy. Being mentally and physically healthy, genuinely loving what I see in the mirror, my family being well, doing my best with what I have, and sharing my journey to help others. To me, all of that equals living full out and walking in my power.
