Hi Niarree, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Bella Styles in 2024 with a passion for beauty, creativity, and building a space where people can truly feel themselves. What began in Maryland has now grown into a bigger vision in Atlanta—a one-of-a-kind hybrid salon and bar lounge. I built this from the ground up, earning $21,900 my first year on my own, and now I’m focused on turning Bella’s into the #1 beauty and vibe destination in the city. This is more than a business—it’s a movement.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. Starting Bella Styles came with a lot of challenges—from funding the business out of pocket to balancing personal responsibilities while trying to grow something from scratch. I had to learn everything on my own, often through trial and error. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and sacrifices, but every struggle taught me something and pushed me to keep going. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.

Bella Styles is more than a salon—it’s an experience. We’re a hybrid salon and bar lounge that blends beauty, self-expression, and community in one unique space. Founded by me (Niarree Hargrove), Bella Styles was created to break away from the typical beauty shop vibe and offer something bold, refreshing, and unforgettable.
We specialize in premium hairstyling services—from silk presses to custom installs and braids—while creating an environment where clients can unwind, vibe, and connect. With plans to offer cocktails, live DJs, and curated events, we’re redefining what a beauty experience looks and feels like.
What sets us apart is our energy. We’re not just doing hair—we’re building a culture. A safe, elevated space where beauty, music, and good vibes meet. We’re known for our welcoming atmosphere, creative edge, and commitment to quality.
Brand-wise, we’re most proud of the fact that Bella Styles represents real people and real hustle. It’s a Black-owned, woman-led brand built with heart, hustle, and intention.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always creative, curious, and independent. I had a strong personality, but a big heart—I was the type to stand up for myself and others. I’ve always been drawn to beauty, fashion, and anything that let me express myself. I used to do hair for fun, not knowing it would turn into my purpose. I was also a natural leader, even when I didn’t realize it yet. I liked to move to my own rhythm, and that’s something that still shows up in my work and my brand today.
