Community Highlights: Meet Noelle Abent of Energetic Therapies

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelle Abent.

Hi Noelle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born into this career! Seriously, my story begins in childhood. Both of my parents are ministers, and I grew up immersed in spirituality and metaphysics. When I was a child my dad and stepmother started a Metaphysical Christian church and healing center called Inner Quest. It was here my father taught me Reiki level 1 when I was 13. I would work Reiki healing nights when I was in school and loved the energy, I felt and saw the impact it had on people at such a young age and that stayed with me. I saw miraculous healings. I realize I was always intuitive and sensitive to energy, but I didn’t really understand the power of it yet.

Fast forward to college, I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development with the intention of becoming a counselor. But with my background in spirituality, I ended up in seminary. I knew spiritual counseling and energy work wasn’t just a career but also my life – how I wanted to serve and the gift I was called to share with the world. I was ordained and worked at Inner Quest church for five years, where I learned not only to run the business side but also to serve clients.

After ordination, I finished my Reiki Master program and had the vision of bringing this practice into the world – a place for people to come, not in a church setting, but everyone, no matter beliefs – as energy work transcends.

Energetic Therapies was born in 2016 – and it’s been my child ever since, growing one day at a time, and now it’s 6! I feel blessed to do this work every day, as I know I answered the call of my Spirit – and in doing so, I’m moving forward on purpose and helping others heal and awaken to their Spirit.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been full of hills and valleys, as any entrepreneur knows! To bring an energy healing practice to Marietta, GA is a feat in itself. Although energy work has become more prevalent than when I was a child, it’s still a foreign concept to many. So one of the challenges was stepping out of my comfort zone in the community, networking and teaching others what it is and why it’s beneficial. People look at me confused and like I’m speaking another language sometimes, haha. But that also helped me grow in confidence and it grew my passion to show people the value of their own energy. To help people see that if you take care of your energy, it helps you heal physically, emotionally and mentally. Choosing to be self-employed takes discipline and passion. Setting a schedule and sticking to it every day is key. A support system is very important. Problem-solving can be a challenge, but I’ve learned it’s ok to make things up along the way. And a mistake is just an opportunity for growth. Every day is different, but it’s worth it! It keeps me creative! The struggles really show me who I am and help me grow in ways I would’ve never known. I’m grateful to be able to create the life I love!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Energetic Therapies, LLC?
My intention when I started Energetic Therapies was to offer energy healing and spiritual counseling services. It’s grown into so much more! I’ve led group and hiking meditations, sent out monthly inspirational newsletters, and have expanded my services over the years. I’ve gone into the community and given talks, meditations, and mini-Reiki sessions for different organizations. I visit hospitals/vets and homes for people and animals who need healing. During the pandemic, my virtual services expanded during lockdown to include different states and countries, as many of my clients had family who were ill. Although I’m back in the office, I continue to offer long-distance energy healing, and some people prefer it!

I’ve realized my purpose is not only to offer the services but also reveal the benefits to others. My practice is unique and right now, it’s just me offering services. I teach Reiki and meditation. I offer Reiki, chakra balancing, color therapy, inner light therapy, spiritual coaching and intuitive counseling. In my counseling and coaching services, I focus on harnessing the energetic laws of the universe, connecting to Spirit and giving people the tools to realize their higher purpose and move forward with it in their life.

I’ve helped people with chronic pain, depression, illness, anxiety and those who need more focus, clarity or spiritual connection in their life. The unique thing about energy healing is it works on the body, mind, Spirit and emotions. And when one is off balance, it affects all of our bodies. Energy healing helps to heal the cause, not just the symptom, which invokes a true lasting healing.

We’ve all been through trauma especially since the pandemic, and it affects your spirit, your soul, and your life force- Energy. Energy healing brings you back into balance, back to your true essence – your energy.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My morning routine is essential to my success. I start out connecting with God through prayer and meditation. In my meditation, I get clarity for the day, and insights on what I need to do or how to do something. I also journal, have a gratitude practice and have positive affirmations I work with. Then I do a yoga flow. The yoga grounds and centers me – it’s the perfect combo of body, mind, and Spirit work to start my day! When I’m connected and grounded with a positive mindset, I’m a clear channel to do the healing work.
