Today we’d like to introduce you to Paley and Erik Carmona.

Hi Paley and Erik, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! We are so excited to have this interview! A little bit about us would be.

I’ve always been the creative one. Wanting to learn more and more how to do things. With Erik having my back it’s hard not to be ambitious.

I saw on TikTok a paste I was interested in and asked him what it was. He told me it was Chamoy. I made it for the first time and it has since been blown up and modified to our secret recipe that we have now.

We are currently in the market of trying to get a trailer so we can be a Chamoy bar!!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been the smoothest road. But with lots of trial and error, we were able to overcome struggles.

One of the biggest things that has helped us all the support from our families and friends! We have also joined multiple organizations to help us expand and get the word out.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Erik and I both come from culinary backgrounds. We have always had a passion for food and making unique meals.

Erik is also creative in his woodworking. he builds beautiful furniture such as dog kennels and desks.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
We did a big risk by going to one of the biggest events in kc. We prepped for the biggest outcome and unfortunately because of the rain it wasn’t as successful as we had in our heads.

Also taking the risk of opening during COVID was a little stressful at first but has taken us a lot further than we thought was possible.
