Daily Inspiration: Meet Daniel Jefferson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Jefferson.

Hi Daniel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been in music since I was young, playing drums, learning the piano, and playing the tuba in concert bands throughout school. After school, I took private lessons in music production, piano and drums. From there, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but thankfully after some good guidance from my peers and mentors I choose to go to AIMM (Atlanta Institute of Music & Media) and chose to further my education in music. There, I met great people connected with like-minded musicians and learned a lot as I began my career in the entertainment industry. My college experience was different from most, having to commute 4-5 days living over an hour away from the school but it was definitely worth it. As my time was winding down at AIMM, I began as an intern at the legendary TreeSound Studios. I began there with basic knowledge in music production and audio engineering, but I had much to learn moving forward professionally in the music industry. Over time, I’ve been able to build connections, meet amazing people, and work with creative minds day and night. I’m glad to be in a position now to build a community and represent myself. Where I’m at is really a dream come true.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There has been and will always be some bumps in the road and some struggles along the journey. In particular, after I graduated high school, I didn’t know at all what to do with my life, whether it be college, work-force, or military, I had no direction. I’m thankful to God for guiding me and steering me towards where I am today. Whether it be life’s problems internally or externally, I know just to keep pushing through on the path He has for me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in music production, whether is be playing as a musician, working as an engineer, or creating a song/piece. Most of my work comes in the form of Audio Engineering, particularly, a recording and mixing engineer. I have also worked in live scenarios, whether it be a church, or venue, or outdoor stages. I am most proud of my continued growth, and being able to help others. I have always desired to learn from the best and take it into my own then to be able to help others around me. I have always aimed for versatility, and reliability at my highest level at all times. I know being versatile and being able to help someone else with an idea and make it come a reality will set me apart from others.

How do you define success?
For me, success is finding joy in the work that I do and being able to gain everything I can from it in my life. I equate success with consistency, constant determination and growth. While it can be hard to see that in challenging times or bumps in the road, not giving up and the ability to keep pushing forward will bring you closer to success.
