Daily Inspiration: Meet YC Neko

Today we’d like to introduce you to YC Neko.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I got in my situation by networking in clubs which led me to meet someone who loved my style and wanted me to better it at his in-home studio. That was five years ago and through having a studio at my convenience 24/7 not only did I work on myself I learned to record myself and others. That eventually put me ahead to find my sound and craft it until now I started putting out music. I built so much anticipation and I didn’t disappoint when I released which has led me to paid shows, opportunities such as this & more.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Wasn’t easy at all I was the underdog and I got overlooked so many times by people I thought would support me just off strength. I chose not to work which was self-degrading because I see the bigger picture in putting my time in what I love because I believed in my sound. Not much money, no car & lack of support honed some better for me. In the end all those people came around and I earned they respect as an artist so I feel I won in the end.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a music artist I specialize in harmonies and Uptempo music and I’m most known for my distinguished sound and wild style. I’m most proud of the opportunities I keep getting as an unsigned artist you’re mostly spending money branding and keeping your name in the topic. Paid shows don’t exist so to be getting paid for shows in a pandemic is an accomplishment for me. What sets me apart is that I don’t forget my struggle and I don’t let in too many compliments because I rather stay humble.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see myself definitely on someone’s label, not only is my music a big part My brand Jungle Child is going to be big in fashion the name and meaning is too trendy/catchy it’s gone be big.
