Today we’d like to introduce you to Young Adub.
Young Adub originally comes from the small town of Blue Ridge, Georgia, but now calls Atlanta, Georgia home. He is only 18 years old And plans to continue making his way into the music industry. His whole life, he grew up around music but was previously committed to other priorities in the past. Now with it being a better time than ever to put yourself out there and chase after your dreams, Young Adub is doing just that. He only just moved to Atlanta in 2021 and plans to establish his name across the city. Young Adub claims to be just a normal kid experiencing life and using music as a way to tell his story. He hopes that his music inspires others to achieve what they are capable of as well. Adub knows that oftentimes the world can be a dark place to navigate, and he doesn’t want anyone to feel like they are going through it on their own.
There are many challenges that come up along the way as an independent artist, but Young Adub never lets that get him down. He continues to push forward regardless of what is going on, which has benefited him significantly in his career. With no intentions of that changing anytime soon, look for Young Adub to be a household name before you know it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. Coming from the small town of Blue Ridge, Ga, it was so hard for me to make connections and find reliable resources within the music industry. Before me, there were no artists from my area, and now I have started a whole wave of music being made there. Not only was it hard to make connections and find reliable, resources, it was super hard to build a fan base. I had to mainly use social media to grow my brand. I used to travel 2.5 hours to Atlanta weekly, sometimes almost twice weekly for studios, networking, shows, etc. Now that I live in Atlanta, my brand is starting to take off rapidly, but I will never forget the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears it took to get here.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I make music. I specialize in writing catchy songs that go viral across social media platforms. I am known for being the young guy from the middle of nowhere taking over the music industry. I am proud of many things I have done, but I would have to say I am most proud that within 3 years of making music, I now am able to make a living off music, travel the world, and collab with some of the games top artists and producers. What sets me apart from others is my creativity and my will to work harder than any other artist. Every single day I am working on music, and growing my brand. I wake up at 6 am and go to bed at 12 almost every single night. I will not be outworked and know if I keep up what I am doing, I am destined for greatness.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My best advice would be to invest in yourself and your brand, make it look the best possible, then the mentors, fans, etc will come to you.
