Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Michael Emanuelo.
Hi Dr. Michael, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Dr. Michael’s passion for chiropractic began early in life as a patient and after witnessing, firsthand, the life-changing benefits of chiropractic, he decided to make chiropractic his life’s calling. He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) at Life University in Marietta, GA. Prior to that, he attended college at Berry College in his home state where he completed his undergraduate degree, earning a degree in Exercise Science.
After years of gaining experience as an associate, Dr. Michael and his wife, Madison, opened Emanuelo Family Chiropractic in May of 2023 to Woodstock and surrounding communities. Over the years, Dr. Michael and Madison have worked side by side to learn, develop, and pursue a full scale understanding of patient healthcare. Together they have cultivated a passion for empowering their patients, building relationships, and providing positivity and light in their community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle of the journey was simply getting the building open! New construction in a developing area isn’t for the faint of heart, but Dr. Michael and Madison were very grateful for the patients gained along the way, their support system, and experience learned.
As a husband and wife team, there are always obstacles and challenges that pop up in a journey, especially in business, but those hurdles are easier to overcome when you remember you’re working together as a team and not by yourself.

Dr. Michael has worked with a wide variety of patients, from newborns to our senior members of the community. In addition to practicing family chiropractic, Dr. Michael is a lifelong athlete and specializes in sports chiropractic and injury rehabilitation working with athletes ranging from students to the Olympic level. His focus is in the treatment of sports and repetitive strain related back, neck and extremity disorders with corrective therapies and corrective exercises to obtain maximum results in getting you back to peak performance.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
As owners: While construction and development of a new build was tedious and difficult, we highly recommend that if you have the option to own the building or space your business resides, do it.
Having the freedom to create a space that works for the flow of our business and processes, can adapt to our growing patient needs, and the security that owning our space provides has been a huge blessing. We have seen too many friends in the industry have to uproot due to the cost of rent, or their space being sold – which can be a pitfall to renting a space even if it’s more economical.
As a doctor: when you shadow or work as an associate for other doctors, don’t just learn how to be a great doctor, learn how to be a great business owner as well. Pay close attention to their operations, business practices, what they do well, and what their pain points are. Collect all of this information to utilize as you operate your own practice one day.
