Hi Fatima and Simon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are Fatima and Simon, a Brazilian couple who met in Atlanta, GA, in 2018. I (Fatima) have always worked in the events industry in Brazil, starting at the age of 14. Since then, I’ve continuously honed my skills in planning and organizing all types of events, with a focus on Weddings and Large-Scale Events like Fairs and Expos. I’ve always had a desire in my heart to pursue entrepreneurship here in Atlanta in the event planning field, particularly because this is not only my passion but also an area where there is a significant gap in qualified companies that know how to plan events the traditional Brazilian and Latino way.
We began by offering our services to the Brazilian and Latino communities and, soon after, expanded to serve the broader American event market. Our key differentiator is our ability to communicate in three languages (Portuguese, English, and Spanish) and our deep understanding of both Latino and American cultures. This unique combination allows us to cater to diverse audiences and deliver truly multicultural events.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Without a doubt, we’ve faced many challenges along the way, from adjusting to a new location and culture to finding qualified staff who speak the three languages our company specializes in (Portuguese, Spanish, and English). We’ve also navigated the bureaucratic hurdles of permits and all the other necessary steps to get the business up and running. However, these challenges have only fueled our drive and made us even more excited to continue working in our field!

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice to anyone just starting out is to stay true to your passion and be prepared to hustle—nothing happens overnight. The journey can be challenging, but the rewards are worth it. One thing I wish I knew when we started was how important it is to build a strong network early on. Surround yourself with supportive people, seek out mentors, and don’t be afraid to ask for advice. It’s also crucial to stay adaptable. The industry is constantly evolving, so being open to change and new ideas is key to long-term success.
