Today we’d like to introduce you to Harriet Chunu-McClatchey.
Hi Harriet, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a multi-passionate creative, I have always had an innate sense of design, and style and a deep desire to help people.
It all started with a bunch of dolls (do you remember paper dolls?), some fabric (most of the time, it was either cut-up denim or socks, lol!), a lot of made-up scenarios, and sketchbooks.
Throughout my life, my personal style has gone through many changes and transformations. However, the most significant shift occurred during my time in university. It was a period of constant self-reflection, where I began to realize that major life changes could cause me to lose touch with my true style identity. I noticed that I was dressing for a life that no longer aligned with who I was and what I wanted to convey, though my clothes was telling a different story.
I wasn’t confident in who I was or my body shape, but found a way (unknowingly at the time) to let my wardrobe introduce me to the room. Doing so allowed me to rediscover myself, and style became my armour.
That’s why I became a Certified Style Coach™ and Style Consultant, where I learned life coach training, self-image psychology, and confidence coaching methods. I made it my mission to help women embrace, honour, accept, and reconnect with who they were always meant to be through style – and to use their wardrobe as tools for communication, confidence, expression, and impact.
Style Coaching perfectly combines my love for helping people, clothes and accessories, empowerment, and fashion psychology. I deeply care about the philosophy and heart behind styling a client, because our clothes touch every part of our lives and intentionally working on our style impacts us in ways that we can’t even begin to imagine when we start the process.
Because your style mirrors your life & your life mirrors your style.
I started off offering virtual styling services to anyone who would accept, but as I continued to grow and analyze the kind of people I was working with, I noticed my services attracted entrepreneurs, executives, and leaders. So we pivoted and niched down.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been an interesting one – a personal struggle more than anything because imposter syndrome is a real thing. One of trusting my God-given talent, value, and worth. One struggle I’m constantly learning is to surrender to the process as you and the business evolve.
It’s easy to question what you bring to the table the more your business requires you to be more visible. But I am extremely thankful for my support system, who always never failed to remind me of who I am, get excited with me, process with me, and speak life over me.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I may have some elements of my answer in the earlier question, but I am a Certified Style Coach™, Style Consultant, and founder of Radiant Styling, where I provide private styling, wardrobe management, and style solutions for entrepreneurs, senior executives, and visual leaders all over the globe.
What sets us apart is our Radiant Styling Method. We believe in a collaborative personal wardrobe styling approach that combines grace, intention, and essence. Grace to rediscover our core selves. Intentional in our approach to curating a seamless, stress-free routine. And everything you step out in should hold an element of your Essence – what makes you unique and showcases the amazing person that you are. Ultimately, bringing out your shine, so that you can be seen.
Consider it style therapy — but we’re trading the couch for a wardrobe.
You are dynamic – Your wardrobe & style should be too.
If you’re ready to curate an Enduring, Effortless, and Expressive Style to reflect all of you, we’d love to speak with you.
I’m most proud of the global impact we’ve already made in the first four years of business. During our first year, we styled an upcoming actress in the UK and since then, we’ve styled men in the Middle East, coached women on showing up stylistically for their personal brand shoot in Byron Bay, Australia and empowered women to heal through style in the US.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Everyone’s definition of success is unique, but for me, success takes on many forms. It means showing up as my best self every time, regardless of the setting. It’s having the opportunity to pursue my passions and make a difference in the lives of others. As a Style Consultant, success means seeing the joy and excitement on my client’s faces when they realize the transformative power of style. It lights me up and encourages me of the mission I have. To help my clients radiate through style.
