Hi Rocklyn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started mobile detailing the summer of 2022. What got me started was my wife was already working full-time and she picked up a second job part-time overnight to make extra money. Reason for this was due to me becoming disabled and having to leave my job. She would be soo tired from working that she was barely alert going into her main job. Keep in mind at that time she was driving 2hrs one way to work then 2hrs back and this was on top of working 10hr shifts. Although I was very sick I said to myself I have to try and figure something out to make some money, even if it was a little. It was difficult for me because I couldn’t work at a job given my health and constant symptoms. Then one day I got the idea to try and mobile detail using my SUV. If I tried this I knew I could work on my own time depending on how I feel. I only had a few cleaning supplies and tools when first starting. Then I brought other essential things, created a booking site, and it started from there.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not it hasn’t. The struggles I deal with along the way is working with my condition. It’s not easy, but I push through it each and everyday. My family and passion for what I do is what motivates me. It’s not the money I just love what I do. I have to give God all the credit and thank him because there’s been PLENTY of times I been completely out of it barely functioning and almost every single time when I’m bout to head out for a booking I’d get this feeling and unexplainable confidence to get it done feeling a little better. God has sustained me all these years time after time after time and it’s his strength that keeps me going.

I specialize in mobile detailing both exterior and interior no matter the location. It can be simple as wanting an exterior wash only, or a full interior deep clean. Whatever it is you will be satisfied. I’m a one man army when it comes to this to running my site then detailing every vehicle. I keep it intentional to having two slots per day, two vehicles each day so every vehicle gets the attention it deserves plus it’s the perfect pace for me. I’m most proud and thankful to been doing this 3 1/2 years. I think what sets me apart from others is the experience. When scheduling, my site is easy to navigate. Each service shows whats included, reminder text/emails that’s sent, and you see exactly what fits your needs straight to the point. I also try to create a vibe with each vehicle I detail when I make videos. I make it depending on the vehicle I’m doing or sometimes the weather/mood that day. Right now I have a free exterior wash with your 7th booking with The Rock Wash. I also provide a variety of air fresheners to choose from that’s included with your detail and is a finishing touch. I’m always tweaking things and thinking of new incentives to add and build on also.
Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to getting my health better as always so I’m focused on that, and my well being so that one day God willing I’m healed. While at the same time I’ll be continuing to provide the best service possible. As always quality comes first for me and is a priority each time. Also as an addition I been considering offering a complimentary wash for birthdays, but I’m figuring a way to do it without getting finessed lol.
