Hi Alexis , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In my early years as a young adult, waxing always intrigued me. Once I started getting waxed at 19, I knew it was the only way to go — I was hooked!
Straight out of high school, I went to ASU to study dental hygiene, never imagining I’d become a certified wax specialist (and truly one of the best at it!). But life had other plans. When college didn’t quite go as expected, I found myself reevaluating my path — and somehow, waxing kept coming to mind.
I’ll never forget sitting in my own wax appointment one day, just chatting with my esthetician and suddenly thinking, “Hey… I think this is something I want to do.” That moment lit the spark. From there, I dove into esthetics school, fell completely in love with the craft, and built my business from the ground up.
Now, years later, I’m not only doing what I love every day but helping others feel confident and comfortable in their own skin — one wax at a time. ✨
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course not — I’m an entrepreneur! The road is never completely smooth, lol. But I’ve learned that as long as you keep going, and keep the faith, you’ll make it through every bump.
In the beginning, my biggest challenge was building clientele and getting my name out there. It took a lot of patience for me, and showing up even when I didn’t see immediate results. But once I made the decision to quit my part-time job and go all in, everything shifted — within just two or three months, I started to see real growth and momentum.
These days, the challenge isn’t starting, it’s staying consistent. Showing up, posting, staying visible, and keeping that same drive I had at the beginning. Honestly, the only true obstacle I’ve really faced has been me — holding myself accountable, pushing past doubt, and staying focused. But with God on my side, I always find my balance and bounce right back. 🙏🏽✨

Right now, my business focuses solely on waxing — but trust me, there’s much more to come! I have new services and offerings in the works that clients can definitely look forward to in the near future.
I’m best known for my Brazilian wax techniques, especially how comfortable I make the process for my clients. So many people tell me my waxes are the least painful they’ve ever had, and that’s honestly how the name “The Painless Waxer” came to life.
What sets my brand apart is the experience — from the atmosphere to the care and technique, I make sure every client feels comfortable, confident, and cared for. I take pride in creating a space where people actually look forward to their wax appointments (which says a lot!).
As my business continues to grow, I want readers to know that this is just the beginning. I’m building something bigger — a brand rooted in quality, comfort, and confidence — and I’m excited for everyone to see what’s next. ✨
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t just about numbers, money, or how busy my schedule gets — it’s about alignment and purpose. I define success as walking in what God has called me to do and trusting Him with every step of the journey.
Success to me looks like peace, obedience, and growth — not just in business, but in faith and character. As long as I’m using my gifts to serve others, keeping God first, and continuing to grow into the woman He’s called me to be… that’s the real success to me. 🙏🏽✨
