Inspiring Conversations with Chase Thomas of Honor HVAC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Thomas.

Hi Chase, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up rough and was caught up in the drug world at a young age. My last words to my Father, when I was 14, were “I hate you and I wish you would die” 20 Minutes later he did. In our living room floor I held him in my arms as his heart stopped beating, and he died due to an drug overdose. I was an atheist for most of my youth and then agnostic after having encounters with demons and black magic, all I knew about Christians was they would buy dope from me on Saturday and still be up on Sunday going to church, and I wanted nothing to do with that!
Until I had an encounter with God, which flipped my whole world upside down as I was facing Major criminal charges
I found myself facing potential Life in Prison for cracking a man’s skull open with a bat. But he survived and my sentence was dramatically less, by the Grace of God.

I got into residential appliance repair and refrigeration as I worked my way through college. A 4 year degree took me 11 years to get while working full time, doing anything and everything to make additional funds for my wife and children, having our first child and getting a diagnosis of Profound Autism shaped our lives in a different way then we had imagined, however God is Good even in difficulty. I then began to develop a customer base for Honor HVAC in 2019 and in August of 2020 we opened the business technically. While during the summer working 60+ hours a week for my W2 job, I was also working 40+ hours for myself on nights and weekends, all the while still going to school online. My incredible wife was having to manage our home and children while I was out working hard to lay a foundation for Honor and our family. November of 2021 I put my notice in at my Large Commercial HVAC W2 job and stepped out on my own into permanent self employment. Hustling and taking anything and everything I could to provide for my family and build a successful business, God was opening doors for me and making provision for my family the whole way. God opens doors for us all, but they often do not look how we imagined they should.
But in 2022 I finished my Bachelors in Cross Cultural Business after 11 years of school. (I tried to quit twice and God continued to lead me back to finish)

I have an INCREDIBLE wife and four wonderful children. God has been so gracious to me and my family!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth. I mentioned a lot of the struggles in the Story portion

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Honor HVAC is located North of Atlanta. We service all Residential and Commercial HVAC systems. We specialize in quality over quantity, with a hyper focus on customer care and devotion to Jesus. What sets us apart is that we are a very outspoken Jesus Centered HVAC company. We also give 10% of all our profits into local, national, and international ministries. Along with a large amount of charitable work for those who can not afford it.
I would want your readers to know that Jesus is not only real, but His love is for them and He desires to have a relationship with them, so that they may have Eternal Life.

As far as our Offerings, we specialize in high efficiency inverter systems for both traditional ducted and ductless systems for both Residential and Commercial applications.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Jan 1st this year (2025) We had a huge shift due to refrigerant changes across the whole nation. The industry has shifted dramatically over the last 10 years and over the next 10 years there are a lot of changes to come. There has been a resurgence in the trades over the last 5 years, and I an encouraged to see so many young people seeing the value in the trades over all.
