Today we’d like to introduce you to Janeen Sizemore.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in San Francisco, California, where my story began with resilience and vision. At just 15 years old, I became a teen mom, and by the age of 19, I made the bold decision to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia with my four-year-old son. I carried with me big dreams of success as an R&B artist and the hope of building a prosperous life for us. That leap of faith was fueled by courage, determination, and an unshakable belief that we were destined for more.
Shortly after moving to Georgia, I found love, got married, and welcomed two additional sons. It was during that season of life that I made a defining choice: to set aside my personal dream of becoming a recording artist and redirect my energy toward building a life for my family and supporting my children’s goals. Today, I couldn’t be more proud that all three of my sons have found success in music. My oldest is known worldwide as Larry June, a major independent artist, and my younger two, Monroe Flow and ONE TFM, are carving out their own paths as recording artists.
While my children pursued their artistry, my own path shifted into real estate. For over 25 years, I’ve been committed to this industry, and along the way I’ve earned the respect of peers and clients alike for my leadership, expertise, and unwavering standard of excellence in both residential and commercial real estate. I started in multi-family property management, where I quickly excelled as a Top Sales Manager and Multi-Site Property Manager. In 2002, I transitioned into mortgage lending, which gave me a 360-degree view of the homebuying process. That experience fueled my passion for helping families achieve homeownership, and in 2004 I became a licensed Realtor, immediately earning recognition as a Top 5% Multi-Million Dollar Producer in my first year.
In 2021, I took my vision to another level by founding The Atlanta Key Firm (A firm founded by a Realtor with the hearts of Realtors in mind), a boutique-style brokerage designed for top-producing Realtors to thrive, collaborate, and serve clients with excellence. My goal was to create a culture built on integrity, innovation, and empowerment and that’s exactly what we’ve done.
Today, I proudly lead as the Team Principal of The Atlanta Key Firm , and my reach has expanded beyond Atlanta. I am honored to be in a global partnership with Prestige Collective, a premier real estate brokerage based in Dubai, AEU. This partnership allows me to bridge markets and connect Atlanta real estate to international investors, luxury clients, and global opportunities.
With heart, hustle, and a legacy mindset, I know I’m not just building a firm, I’m building a movement. From my roots in San Francisco, to raising my family and growing my business in Atlanta, to expanding globally into Dubai, my journey is living proof that faith and perseverance can open any door. Just as my sons are leaving their mark on the music industry, I am leaving mine on real estate, changing lives, opening doors, and building legacy, one key at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. As an entrepreneur, there will always be struggles, especially when you truly care about your brand and its success. For me, building a firm with nothing more than love, passion, and very little start-up capital was one of the greatest challenges, but also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Another major struggle came with finding the right Key Partners to help take the firm to the next level. It took me some time to realize that not everyone is built to handle the demands and challenges of being a real estate professional. That lesson pushed me to shift my focus inward, working on myself and strengthening the brand so that I could attract the right people and affiliates who would bring real value to the business.
One of my personal struggles has been getting in my own head, feeling the pressure to have all the answers on day one. The truth is, there is no perfect blueprint for success. Every business, whether big or small, will face adversity. But I believe if you keep fighting for what you’ve built and remain committed to the vision, you’ll always win. My goal has never been to move fast, it’s always been to move with integrity and correctly.

I founded The Atlanta Key Firm in August 2021 with one clear vision: to create a brokerage that was built by a Realtor, for Realtors. After more than 25 years in this business, I knew what Realtors needed to thrive and what clients deserved to experience. I wanted to build something boutique-style, intimate, and intentional, where collaboration, professionalism, and client care were at the heart of everything we do.
At The Atlanta Key Firm, we provide a full range of services, from residential sales and commercial transactions to lease-purchase programs, creative lending solutions, and investor representation. While we specialize in traditional sales, commercial deals, and innovative financing, what we truly specialize in is people. I built this firm to empower Realtors to grow and thrive, while ensuring that clients receive the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and service.
Our reach also extends beyond Atlanta. Through my global partnership with Prestige Collective in Dubai, AEU, we are able to connect clients and investors to opportunities worldwide. Locally, we are proudly partnered with the Hyatt Centric Hotel Buckhead, where we host our monthly networking mixers known as “Keys to the City “. These events bring together professionals from all industries who are serious about building authentic, lasting connections.
