Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I’m Jasmine Dior! I’m a 26-year-old salon suite owner from Birmingham, Alabama, and I’ve been in the beauty industry for 13 years. What started as a passion for hairstyling has grown into something much bigger—helping other beauty professionals thrive.
I currently own SoftServe Studios, a faith-based, fun, and professional salon suite space designed for beauty entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. My first location has been a success, and now I’m excited to open another SoftServe Studios in Birmingham, Alabama!
While managing my salon suites, I still love working behind the chair, specializing in tape-in extensions to give my clients natural, seamless looks. My goal is to continue expanding, educating, and creating opportunities in the beauty industry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My struggle has been patience. God has helped me tremendously along the way. It took 10 months to get my suites filled. Trusting the process was my biggest struggle.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a bold, outspoken, and full-of-life child, the one with the biggest personality in the room. I was bossy in the best way, always taking charge, whether it was leading a dance routine or “running” the household with my ideas. At the same time, I was incredibly lovable, with a natural ability to bring people together and make things happen. Honestly, not much has changed except my age and income. That same confidence, leadership, and charm that defined me as a kid are the same traits that drive me today as an entrepreneur. I’ve simply elevated my hustle, turning that childhood energy into a successful business and a life I love.
