My Journey to SmileinStyle
About twenty years ago, I arrived in the U.S. with just one suitcase, $120 in my pocket, and a heart full of dreams. I was 23 years old and had just graduated from dental school in India. I knew it meant starting over. Leaving behind everything familiar was daunting, but I was driven by the possibilities ahead. The journey wasn’t easy, but I was determined to continue my career and pursue my education here.
Over the years, I built not just a career but a life—a beautiful family, incredible friendships, and a deep sense of belonging. Every challenge along the way only strengthened my determination, and with hard work and passion, I turned my dreams into reality. But at my core, I was always an entrepreneur. I knew from the start that working for someone else was never part of my vision—I wanted to create something of my own. So, I took a leap of faith, left my comfortable job, and decided to buy a dental practice.
Running a dental practice comes with its challenges—balancing patient care, business operations, and innovation—but it has been incredibly rewarding. Over time, I realized that dentistry isn’t just about treating teeth; it’s about creating an experience. That’s what led to my decision to rebrand as SmileinStyle—we’re in the middle of construction as I share this story! I wanted to bring a fresh, welcoming energy to dentistry, where every patient feels at home. So, we’re introducing “The Friends Experience” to dentistry. Our Friends-themed rooms, gourmet coffee, and humor sprinkled throughout the decor will add a playful touch, making visits more engaging and less intimidating. At SmileinStyle, we combine high-quality care with a warm, inviting atmosphere because I truly believe that a great smile starts with a great experience.
Looking back, I’m proud of the journey, the growth, and the amazing patients who trust us with their care. I’m deeply grateful for my parents, who instilled in me the values of hard work, resilience, and the importance of education, which have been my guiding principles throughout this journey. I’m also incredibly thankful for my children, whose love and support keep me grounded and motivated every single day. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue making people smile—both in and out of the dental chair!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Getting into Dental school was a huge challenge!
Transitioning from school to work, finding that private practice was hard!
Making the decision to own was even harder but the most rewarding of all!
The daily struggles of running a small business, covid, employee shortage, some days there is leak in the building, some days there fallen trees on the roof but never a dull moment as a business owner!
We’ve been impressed with Smiles in Style, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The name of the entity is Marietta Roswell Dental Care
I am in the middle of rebranding to Smile in Style.
I am General and Cosmetic Dentist
Outside of everyday dentistry I specialize in smile makeovers, full mouth reconstructions, Invisalign, Implant dentistry.
I am known for being a perfectionist and problem solver.
I can handle any challenging clinical situation and get the patient to finish line.
What sets me apart – is compassion and genuine care. Managing patient’s emotions during long and complex cases. They have my cell phone, they know they can reach me anytime. I am always there for my patients. They will never have to go to ER for any emergencies.
I am proud – to offer the best technology my industry has. We have CEREC (we can make same day crowns) scanners CBCT, MLS Laser for pain relief, name it!!
I want the readers to know – We offer wide range services in dentistry from simple fillings to crowns, implants, teeth whitening, Veneers, Invisalign, treating TMJ pain, We have the all of the best technology on the market to help elevate patient care. We are fun and friendly practice, personable group of ladies, we strive to make sure billing is handled meticulously too!
