Inspiring Conversations with Reonna Dixson of Reonna Victoria Credit Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reonna Dixson.

Hi Reonna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Almost a year ago, at 19, I was able to purchase two luxury cars in one day, a Mercedes-Benz & a Range Rover with no co-signer. When I posted on it on Instagram everyone my age asked me how. Well, the answer to that is excellent credit. My mom had a credit business and she decided she didn’t want to do it anymore, so from 14-18 I would always help her, I was always around it & she taught me everything I know. After buying these two cars & seeing/realizing that so many people my age don’t know what credit is or how to build it, I decided I wanted to start a credit consulting company specifically for millennials, I wanted all people around my age to learn about credit, why its important to have good credit, how you can build credit, how to purchase a car with no cosigner, etc. Of course, if anyone reaches out to me I am more than willing to help but I definitely started this business to help millennials and people around my age, it would surprise you how many people around my age don’t know about credit or how to start it. I always hear “No one ever taught me” which is true, they don’t teach these kinds of things in every school. Now almost a year later, since I have decided to launch Reonna Victoria Credit Consulting, I am now 20 with an 814 credit score.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Entrepreneurship is a wonderful thing but it also gets hard. My business definitely is not perfect & I feel like there is always room for improvement but I try not to be so hard on myself and always remind myself that I’m doing good. I am my own biggest critic but I just try to go through the struggles I face one at a time & never complain or make an excuse. I think one of my biggest struggles is running my business & being a full-time college student, it definitely gets hard and it can sometimes be overwhelming but I realize that you have to go through three stages in your life: losses, lessons, & blessings: I always remind myself to just work hard, stay focused, stay determined. Another thing I go through is people judging me because of my age, a few people have asked me how I can help them with their credit since I am only 20, and I have actually had people not to work with me because of me being so young but I try not to let it get me down or stop me, I always tell myself you have to keep going, you can do anything your heart desires

Reonna Victoria is a young College Student, Entrepreneur, Credit Guru, Model and Social Media Influencer. The young entrepreneur — also known as Re and goes by DoItLikeRe on Social Media — and is the owner of Reonna Victoria Credit Consulting, which is the only Credit Consulting Firm geared towards Millennials and Clients her age. Although Reonna can assist and advise any client, her company is known for advising and teaching young millennials how start and build credit. At the age of eight Reonna opened her first business, Pink Diamond Spa Parties, which started as a mobile spa party company for young girls before getting its own location. By age 15, she was hosting parties in the Atlanta area for Teens and Atlanta Based Rappers. I am most proud of how far I have come & how well my business has grown just within these ten months, it has been so successful already & I cant wait to see what the future holds.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Stay focused, stay determined, stay consistent. If you want to open a business or start a business, do it. And once you do it, promote, promote, PROMOTE. Don’t worry about what people are going to say or whose going to unfollow you. Promote your brand, no one can promote it better than you… and your real friends will always support! There will be days you want to give up, but stay consistent. Consistency will bring you success.
