Life & Work with Grace Park of Atlanta, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Park

Hi Grace, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Photography has always been a passion of mine, but turning it into a business has been a journey of learning, growth, and valuable experiences.

I majored in performance art with a specialization in classical music in college, where professional headshots and recital posters were always in demand. I had always enjoyed photography, and this became the perfect opportunity to merge two of my passions.

What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into something more. I began taking photos just for fun, but soon, friends and family started reaching out for event photography. That’s when I realized how much I loved capturing meaningful moments for others.

Today, my business has grown beyond what I ever imagined, and I’m incredibly grateful to do what I love—preserving timeless moments for amazing people.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road! Like any business, photography comes with its challenges. I first started my business in Texas while I was in graduate school, and it was there that I built my clientele. But when I met my now-husband and we got engaged, we decided to relocate to Georgia. Rebuilding my client base and establishing my name in a completely new state was a challenge, but it also pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. Looking back, I’m grateful for those struggles because they helped shape me into the photographer I am today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a portrait photographer specializing in family, maternity, and special events. I love capturing authentic, heartfelt moments that people can cherish forever. My style is a mix of natural and timeless, focusing on genuine emotions and beautiful storytelling.

What I’m most proud of is the connections I build with my clients. Photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about making people feel comfortable, confident, and seen. I want every session to feel effortless and fun!

What sets me apart is my ability to create a relaxed environment, especially for people who aren’t used to being in front of the camera. I guide them through poses naturally, helping them feel at ease so their personalities shine through. My goal is to deliver images that don’t just look beautiful but also feel meaningful.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Atlanta’s mix of urban and natural beauty—there’s so much diversity in the scenery! From the modern skyline and historic neighborhoods to the lush green spaces, there’s always something visually inspiring. Plus, the creative community here is amazing!

The traffic can be pretty frustrating, especially during rush hour. Also, the unpredictable weather—one minute it’s sunny, the next it’s pouring rain—can make outdoor sessions a bit tricky. But overall, Atlanta’s energy and creative scene more than make up for it!
