Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Parham.
Hi Aisha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Writing has always been a part of who I am. I discovered my love for words and self-expression through poetry in high school, but I didn’t truly embrace writing as a calling until much later in life. As an adult, I faced a serious health scare that shifted my perspective and deepened my faith. Around the same time, I watched my sister courageously battle cancer and supported my daughter as she struggled with hidradenitis. Those deeply personal experiences taught me the power of resilience, hope, and God’s promises, and they ultimately reignited my passion for writing.
What began as a way to process pain and hold on to faith turned into my first book, Healing Scriptures A to Z, a devotional guide meant to encourage and strengthen others facing their own battles. That journey not only reminded me of my purpose but also set me on the path I’m walking today — as an author, speaker, and founder of Purpose Press Consulting — using my words and my story to help others find healing, hope, and purpose through faith.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been moments that tested my faith, strength, and patience more than I ever imagined. One of the hardest parts of this journey has been learning how to keep going while carrying so much in my personal life. Watching my sister fight cancer, navigating my own health challenges, and helping my daughter manage a chronic condition were heavy seasons that often left me emotionally and physically drained.
On top of that, stepping into authorship and entrepreneurship came with its own set of challenges. I struggled figuring out how to self-publish and market my work to overcoming self-doubt and the fear of not being “enough.” There were many times I questioned whether I was on the right path.
But through every obstacle, I learned to lean harder on my faith and trust that each challenge was shaping me for the purpose God had for me. Those tough seasons taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of perseverance — and now, I’m stronger and more passionate about my mission because of them.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Purpose Press Consulting was created from my heart and personal journey — it’s more than a business; it’s a mission. After walking through seasons of pain, healing, and rediscovery, I realized that so many people have powerful stories inside them but feel lost when it comes to bringing those stories to life. That’s where Purpose Press comes in.
We specialize in helping aspiring authors navigate every step of the self-publishing journey with confidence: from writing and editing to formatting, publishing, and launching their books into the world. What sets us apart is that we don’t just focus on the technical side of publishing; we focus on the heart behind the book. My approach is deeply personal and faith-driven, built on the belief that words have the power to heal, inspire, and transform lives.
I’m most proud of the impact our clients experience and watching someone go from doubting whether their voice matters to holding their finished book in their hands is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. My goal is to continue building a space where creativity meets purpose, and where stories that were once silenced can finally be shared with the world.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing how my words and my work impact other people’s lives. There’s nothing more fulfilling than hearing that something I wrote helped someone heal, gave them hope, or encouraged them to keep going. Knowing that my story, with all of its ups and downs can inspire someone else to believe in theirs makes every struggle worth it.
I also find so much happiness in simply being present with my family and watching them thrive. They are my “why” in everything I do. Whether it’s sharing laughter around the dinner table or celebrating small victories together, those moments remind me of what truly matters. And ultimately, knowing that I’m walking in the purpose God created me for using my gifts to make a difference, is the greatest source of joy in my life.
