Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Rodriguez.
Hi Amy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I married my husband who was active-duty Air Force in 2009 when he was stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base. We moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2012 when he got stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base. We had our first child on January 15, 2013. 3 weeks after our son was born, I began an online Bachelor’s Degree program in Human Services through Wayland Baptist University. Our son was diagnosed with Autism in July 2015. Our second child was born on October 21, 2015. It took me 5 years to finish my Bachelor’s Degree while being a stay-at-home mom, but I persisted. I began a Master’s Degree program in Counseling through Wayland Baptist University in 2018, and graduated in 2020, several months into the Covid-19 pandemic. I then worked as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Christian Counseling Professionals, where I had also done my internship. My husband retired from the Air Force in 2022, after 21 years of service, and we then moved to Georgia in June 2022. I obtained my Life Coaching Certification in July 2022. On October 31, 2023, I passed the Perinatal Mental Health Certification Exam through Postpartum Support International and became a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional. I started my own business, Bloom Christian Life Coaching LLC, in the summer of 2025, and I work with clients from all over the United States.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Some of the struggles included: having young children while going to school, my son’s Autism diagnosis, living away from family, staying up until 2:00 am to finish homework after everyone else is asleep, the Covid-19 pandemic, etc.

The most important quality to my success as a Christian life coach is discernment — staying sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. True transformation happens when I allow God to lead each conversation and trust Him to reveal what my clients need most in that moment.
