Today we’d like to introduce you to Lacey Odum.
Lacey, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m from a small town in South Georgia girl and I’m currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout high school, I was always the “skinny one.” I weighed less than 100 pounds, I never played sports or worked out. I was skin and bones. I was already tiny, so I didn’t feel a need to explore the gym. In college, I won the opportunity to compete in Miss Georgia and there was a swimsuit division in the pageant. That is when I first started working out and getting serious about my health.
I got my Personal Training Certification and have been sharing my fitness journey on Instagram and Facebook over the past two and a half years. I am so thankful to be able to help women all over the world. Since I began my fitness journey I have gained physical and mental strength, belief in myself, and an understanding of how important it is to follow the proper plan to get the results I want. My passion is to always learn more about how to improve myself and share that knowledge with women who want to get healthier, get stronger and become confident in their own skin!
Has it been a smooth road?
Living a healthy and fit lifestyle is not an easy feat. When I first started eating healthy, working out, and improving my overall lifestyle habits I realized quickly that there are always obstacles to overcome and choosing to live a better life requires a lot of dedication, self-control, and perseverance.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always very outgoing and headstrong. I spent my weekends participating in Beauty Pageants and spent a lot of time with my family.
Is there a specific memory from when you were younger that you really miss?
My favorite memory of my childhood would be any memory that I have of my Grandmother. She passed away many years ago but she instilled a lot of the values in me that make me the woman I am today.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am passionate about my clients and my business. I want to make a positive impact on as many women as possible. I am currently working on creating my own fitness and nutrition guides that women can download and save so they can work out and follow a healthy routine on their own schedule.
