Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Daily.
Candice, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started in Saint Louis MO, were I’m from. I remember having a conversation with my grandmother and she stated Candylane don’t ever forget what you’re worth and don’t ever forget you’re good at what you do. You do everything from the heart. That’s all I needed was encouragement. I instantly did my research on the LLC, come up with a name and got the LLC and business name registered. I moved to Georgia 2014 got to register for the state of Georgia. I got to where I am today due to my work ethics, referrals, must importantly encouragement. I’m very compassionate. I love what I do. I love lending a hand and helping others. I can say it’s my calling. I help my clients be able to preserve their dignity in the comfort of their familiar surroundings.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, the road has not been as smooth as I would have liked. I have had to jump over a few hurtles. Dealing with Georgia rules and regulations when it comes to in-home healthcare and marketing.
Please tell us about your company.
I am the CEO of Compassion and Dignity Home Care. Compassion & Dignity Home Care is a non-medical home care agency. We specialize in dementia and Alzheimer patients, encouraging independence, and we also see surgery patient’s to help their process of recovery go smoothly. I’m known for being the bubbly person that brightens everyone’s day. I’m known for always lending a helping hand no matter what the situation is or looks like. I’m beyond proud of my company name, like the stuff and my self lives up to the name. We show compassion and we like for our clients to keep their dignity. We always want our patients to be able to make some of their own decisions. As the CEO/director, I’m a firm believer of lead by example. I still go out and work cases. I still socialize with family members and clients.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite memories from my childhood was my first road trip with my uncle. I’ll need more time to tell you how I freak out because I thought Alabama was around the corner. And I didn’t see anything but land, horses and cows lol. My second childhood memory is being at my grandmother’s house sneaking out the bottom window to go back outside to play with my friends, after being called in for the night.
