Meet Chasity “Champ” Jones of Work Network Twerk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chasity “Champ” Jones.

Chasity “Champ”, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
WNT was born of an all too common struggle to find my identity as an Atlanta transplant. I found myself going home to Louisiana multiple times a month rather than exerting the effort to learn my new home. In a last-ditch effort before relocation, I thrust myself into all aspects of the Atlanta lifestyle. I volunteered with a well-known civil rights organization, joined a church, frequented networking events, and became a brunch regular. I created a network of like-minded individuals thus launching my own underground Wakanda complete with emerging leaders, established taste-makers, and shenanigans enthusiasts. I fell in love with the city and fell in love with my life as a vibrant thing. That dynamic group helped me hone my working, networking, and twerking skills. I started my company to share that expertise.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Balancing a full-time career, COVID-19 adjustments, and WNT’s demands has been challenging. However, few things feel better than knowing that I am finally investing in my own business and community as much as I have invested in others.

Please tell us about Work Network Twerk.
WNT is a consulting firm that provides students and professionals with best life best practices via eLearning courses, vision coaching, and confidence coaching.

I am most known for my vision coaching packages. As a high school teacher turned MBA marketer, I have perfected the strategy to develop an exceptional student portfolio. My vision coaching package guides students through a goal-setting and branding course followed by one-on-one coaching. Students can use their coaching sessions to progress monitor or double click on any of the aspects of their portfolio that they feel needs additional support. High school students commonly focus on college application preparation, while college students focus on resume building.

More application processes will be conducted virtually due to the increasing number of remote-working positions. My clients, like many other students and professionals, need tips to stand out. I help them prepare to get the opportunity and secure it with strategic performance.

My Emerging Professionals Performance Review Prep Sessions are also popular. I help my clients prepare to highlight their accomplishments, identify reasonable opportunities, and offer meaningful feedback. This allows them to drive the conversation and control their professional brand.

I am most proud of helping minority students and professionals achieve authenticity. Code switching is exhausting and unnecessary. I help my clients develop and strengthen their brands so that they move as intentionally with their social lives as they do with their work lives. The result is true work life integration. You can get lit as much as you want if you establish and manage your brand like a pro.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood was writing business plans with my neighborhood bestie. No joke- we both were born with entrepreneurial mindset and the creativity to match. My favorite business plan was for a back-yard variety show that featured various acts including her dog. We were probably 7 or 8 years old, but we knew we could charge at least $.50 a head for a good show with additional revenue from snacks. We both chased our dream. She has a dance program, and I am bringing business and shenanigans straight to the people!
