Meet David Turrentine and Greg Perry of Atlanta Rocks! Indoor Climbing Gym

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Turrentine and Greg Perry.

David and Greg, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Atlanta Rocks! opened the South’s first Indoor Climbing gym in 1995 (before the internet!). The intention was for it to be a test facility to prove the viability of a climbing gym in metro Atlanta, Seeing the growth and excitement of the sport, we opened our ‘Intown” location in 1999. Until 2008, Atlanta Rocks! had two facilities. Since then, the excitement has not waned. Because of our passion for the sport, we have set a standard for our customer service and safety records. We are excited about the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, as Rock Climbing is one of the two new sports!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Because of the growth of the sport, there are now more indoor climbing gyms.

Our customer service and safety record for 22 years mean a lot! We are sought out for those two reasons plus our instructional classes.

We have programs for all levels and ages. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned climber. We have Youth Teams, Summer Camps, Team Building Programs, Lead Climbing Classes and Technique programs which help make you a better climber!

We host a LOT of birthday parties (for all ages! The adult parties are often the best!)
