Today we’d like to introduce you to Kam Kam.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, my journey started in the early ages of my life. When I was in first grade, my teacher asked me what I wanted to be and I immediately said entrepreneur! At that tender age, I was only concerned about the word being BIG and Long. Little did I know I was speaking my life’s journey into existence. As I grew up, I faced the typical workplace world after highschool. Before going to college, I worked at Cinnabon in the mall. I knew I wasn’t going to be there my whole life but it was a stepping stone to what I thought my new life would be after I graduated college to become a PE teacher. Thankfully my Grandfather called me to help change my life and redirect me to my better potential, so I dropped out of college. I became a HouseWife at the young age of 19. Not having to work and just raise my kids was boring so I made my at the time husband a custom cake and from that day, my Kake By Design business took off.
Ten years later, I still make cakes, however, instead of opening a bakery five years into doing cakes from my home, I shocked my customers and opened the FIRST Paint and Sip Studio for the culture on the Southside in Morrow. While Twisted Dips Art Studio has been on TV Multiple Times and has become Partners with the Home Depot Backyard at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, there was more that could come to past with the Twisted Dips Brand!!! So I started talking to God and he literally slapped me in the face with my 2nd Storefront! Now while I was working on my Restaurant, Air Fried Cafe, which is still in the works and on Door Dash and Grubhub, I had also been in talks with my sister about a lounge due to the experiences I have had in the Atl nightlife. Not only did this location have the PERFECT location central to my customer base, a small but comfortable seating area, it also had the potential to have retail and since I’m an advocate for a healthy herbal lifestyle with the use of CBD and Delta 8 to help cure things such as anxiety and curve cancer which runs in my family, I combined it all to make it the Twisted Dips Smoke Shoppe and Lounge! A Small Variety Discount Store. that specializes in CBD, Delta 8, Accessories, Hookahs, Fashion, Art, and Good Vibes overall and plenty of more. I have established the Slogan and Number 1 rule for the Twisted Dips Brand and that is TRUST THE PROCESS!!! I owe it all to Trusting my Process because I am STILL TRUSTING THE PROCESS!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road traveled has not been easy at all! Some of the struggles included NOT HAVING A THING!!! I literally started with nothing but two hands and Google! There wasn’t super easy access to some of the stuff I needed back then that’s now a finger click away! I had to sacrifice certain occasions and time with my daughter. People have stolen from me because of jealousy. People will lie and dispute stuff even after you’ve gone above and beyond. I’m still human so I’ve made mistakes on orders before, I’ve been denied plenty of times for loans and other opportunities I thought I qualified for. I’ve been challenged to think creatively with certain laws and restrictions. It’s been a road, to say the least, however, I’m thankful for the road because without the lessons, I couldn’t have learned any better.

It is the Home of Inpowering Minds Non-Profit BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE Annually, which gives back to the Students of the community. We’ve hosted Southlake Malls Kids Saturdays and we love going to the Schools such as Bethune Elementary. If you can’t make it to the studio, we have DIY Kits and we ship all around the world. Keeping the Brand a Vibe, Twisted Dips Smoke Shoppe and Lounge is more for the 21 and up crowd. Combining with the Relaxing nature of painting, we introduce the best CBD and Smoke Supplies, Hookah, Art, Fashion and more! The Smoke Shoppe and Lounge serves as a 2nd Pickup location for Cakes and Canvases. We just Trust the Process!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about the city is THE FOOD!!! LOL, I LOVE TO EAT!!! What I dislike is the TRAFFIC!!! And I think its safe to leave it at that!
