When every other kid was busy with their dolls and playhouses, I was busy sneaking into my mom’s makeup and trying my hand at it. Yes, it was childish, I was 10 years old, but it was the first step towards my dream. My passion for makeup is hereditary. I lived in India for 25 years and moved to the US five years ago with my family. I quit my IT job and decided to nurture my love for makeup and joined a makeup academy in Atlanta to polish my skills. I am now paving my way as a celebrity makeup artist. I am an accomplished wedding makeup artist. Due to my professional background in America and cultural background of India, I can blend the two cultures using makeup on my brides. I have been working with Dior for four years and now I’m their Senior Makeup Artist and Skincare Ambassador.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was an eventful journey when I was new to the industry. To transform my academic knowledge into the real world’s expectations was a struggle during my initial days. But, practice is key to perfection. Working with Dior has been an evolution to my artistry. I practiced new faces everyday and improved my skills. On skin types from young to mature, skin tones and textures, eye makeup on different eye shapes, I have improvised and perfected my art. I work with passion and ensure that no one leaves my chair unsatisfied.

I specialize in skincare and makeup. I believe that beautiful makeup comes from beautiful skin. I always advise my clients to take care of their skin first and makeup will look beautiful naturally. I am known for beauty makeup. I absolutely love and enjoy doing makeup for photoshoots and weddings. I also have some experience in TV/Film makeup. I am proud to be a part of the beauty industry and providing the best luxury services to my clients. In a short period of time, I had the privilege to work with CBS 46 news anchor “Amanda Davis” and Tyler Perry Studios in the film “Nobody’s Fool.” I never compromise with quality and hygiene. My priority is to make my clients look and feel beautiful in every way they want.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I belong to a business class family and pursued my initial career choice as an IT professional. If I had the chance to start over, I would learn makeup at an earlier stage in life and pursue it as a profession at a younger age since it was always my passion. I would like to be one of the best-known makeup artists.
