Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Alford.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Taylor. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We are a small boutique studio that wanted to bring luxury to indoor cycling. After years of envisioning this space, it finally became a reality when we opened our doors in November of 2016. Since then, not only do we have this beautiful space, but our instructors, staff and clients have given so much life to the studio. Each one of our cycling and yoga instructors have gone through their own individual fitness journeys and it’s translating to our clients as a very unique experience. When someone walks through the door for a class we know everyone by first name. Some clients have found friends in our instructors and are very comfortable with sharing not only their fitness goals, but their lives with us. This personalized experience has truly made our journey thus far, a success.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
So far, we’ve seen a tremendous amount of growth in a short amount of time for a new business. Like any new business there are opportunities to learn how to adapt to the needs of your customers. We’ve been lucky to have most of our clients speak openly about what they love and what they would like to see and what could change.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about cycle élan – what should we know?
cycle élan is a boutique indoor cycling studio that specializes in offering an exhilarating workout within a luxurious environment.
As far as indoor cycling studios, we are unique to any other studio when it comes to your options of classes. We don’t limit our clients to a “one-size-fits all” or “sink or swim” approach to class. When you book your bike with us, we offer three levels of classes from beginner to advanced. We also have a wealth of diversity of instructors from powerful road riders to exhilarating rhythm riders ready to give you the type of cardio workout you’re looking for. This sets us apart from any other studio around.
Currently, we are the most proud of the personal experience that we have become known for. We have instructors who have come from different fitness backgrounds and cycling styles, but when you walk through the doors, you can feel the connection. You are always personally greeted when you walk in. Our instructors pay close attention to every individual during their rides or yoga classes. We offer concierge services ranging from dropping off dry cleaning to putting air in your tires while you’re in class. Finally, we find a lot of clients hanging out in the lounge for coffee or tea well after their ride. We have created a real experience that you cannot find anywhere else in Atlanta and it’s amazing to see that carried out every day.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Our success thus far has been due to a culmination of our management team and instructors. It’s definitely been a process from research to ribbon cutting and the management has been with us for the long haul, working day and night to make sure we can provide everything we can for our clients. That type of dedication to getting this studio up and running while also carrying out their own daily lives, is unparalleled.
Our instructors, like I previously mentioned, have taken this experience to the next level. We are very lucky to have so many personable people from different fitness backgrounds who can bring a combination of unique styles under one roof.
And of course, we wouldn’t be anywhere without all of our clients and the neighborhood. Seeing new members walk in through the doors slightly nervous but leave completely energized and ready to come back, provides us with such a sense of accomplishment. On top of that, we have a few regulars who have been serious champions of the studio. One in particular who credits us for becoming “addicted to cycling” has become our unofficial poster child for the studio. She spends so much time sharing what she loves about the classes that she goes to and her experience from start to finish. We can’t find enough ways to show her and all of our other clients how much we appreciate their support.
