Hi Tiffanie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in San Diego, California and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. While attending Georgia State University, I was involved in many organizations on campus. Through writing for The Signal (GSU Newspaper), having three marketing internships, and being President of my sorority chapter, Omicron Gamma – Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., I gained writing, leadership and Marketing skills. From there, I entered the corporate world in my field of Marketing for four years. Within those years, I realized I was not happy. I found the faults within corporate America and soon realized that I was being looked over and was worth more! Then the Pandemic hit in March, and unfortunately, I was laid off soon after that. As I was unemployed, a ton of emotions came over me, and it was hard. I thought I had failed and had something taken away from me through no fault of my own. I then realized that it was time for me to become my own boss. As everything went virtual due to the Pandemic, I decided to create an independent virtual Marketing agency – Tiffanie Mishelle & Co. LLC. I never realized how talented I was until I was on my own running a business. As entrepreneurship runs in my family, I am happy to carry on the legacy of being my own boss.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As you have heard before, everyone has a story. Well, I have a unique story because I have been through it all. In the midst of sleeping from couch to couch right after college, to getting over 100 denial letters for jobs, being unemployed three times, working my way through college with multiple jobs, to almost giving up on myself – through it all, it taught me that I could overcome anything that challenges me. I actually like challenges because I love to prove people wrong and prove to myself that I can do it. There is this drive in me that is unexplainable. I also like to motivate and help people through my testimony. God is amazing, and I am here today because of him.

What matters to me the most is finding different and unique ways to help people and ultimately millennials. A lot, if not all of us were told to go to college and get a degree to be successful in life. However, through the trials and tribulations, I have been through thus far, I have realized the system is not set up for everyone to succeed. With so much competition in the job market, you have to find out what makes you “different” than everyone else. What’s makes you stand out. Not everyone has the opportunity to go to college, get a degree, or is taught the “real-world experience.” With my company Tiffanie Mishelle & Co. LLC, in the longterm, I want to be able to provide opportunities to millennials to fulfill their dream in the marketing and communications field.
