Today we’d like to introduce you to Tricia Morris.
Hi Tricia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began my social media business several years ago. I started out with one client and over the years have grown to about ten clients. I love being in the “know” what’s happening in the city and I actually started out just posting about events, new restaurant openings and other happenings going on in the city. I retained my first client, a now-closed restaurant, and from there continued to grow. I’ve had every business from real estate companies to an auto repair shops.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Most of my business is from word of mouth. There are so many social media specialists that finding a niche market can be a little difficult. Clients think if you don’t grow in numbers immediately, they think you’re not doing it correctly. Higher numbers don’t always mean more business.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in Facebook and Instagram with some Twitter and TikTok sprinkled in. I am proficient in Canva and have learned to do creative content with moving images. I seem to be more restaurant oriented probably because that is where most of my businesses come from but I have other clients that vary from. I take pride in my work and when I create a really cool post, I love to see how it grows and the client’s reaction when they see it.
What does success mean to you?
I think success is when people refer you to other businesses.
