Rising Stars: Meet Brittani Northern

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittani Northern.

Hi Brittani, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Barbie Bees Fitness Apparel began June 2019, I started doing workouts at home after having two pregnancies back to back. I ended up stumbling upon a sweat vest that I used to help lose the weight. I started sharing with everyone the results and how amazing the product was. I decided to help other moms who were having the same issues I was. I didn’t have much money. I started with 300 and went from there. Went from just sweat vests to having more items on my website.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One thing about being a small business, you will definitely have some hard days. My good friend Ryan was someone I would go to when I felt like giving up or if felt I wasn’t doing a good job. Her alongside my husband helped me continue working to get where I am today. Everyday won’t be sunshine and rainbows but it makes the small victories even more rewarding.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an overall crafty person, fitness is something I’m good at along with many other things. I specialize in helping others achieve their goals and help them feel good about themselves. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and how I still continue this journey as happy as I was when I first started my business. To know I have people who support me so much is rewarding. What sets me apart from people is everyone starts somewhere it’s okay to help people. I want to see other people win just as much as I want to win. Another reason that makes me different from everyone is I have type 1 diabetes.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People who work with me have a free mind when it comes to business. I let them express what exactly they are looking for. When collaborating with me, we both work together to find what’s best for both parties we are able to compromise together. Support to me is liking and sharing those two things are amazing for a business! Word of mouth is also a good way to bring awareness to your business.
