Rising Stars: Meet Lynly Ehrlich of Suwanee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynly Ehrlich.

Lynly, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Wow, there’s actually a lot. I have a ton of different charms, but I began my acting journey when I was four years old and appeared on a kid show called the Mr. Knowzit show. Since then, I’ve been working in film and television in some capacity so around 41 years. My first real casting gig was actually season 14 of American Idol. Since then, I’ve cast for America’s Got Talent, American Beauty Star, and several game shows, including the Hustler, You Bet Your Life, and 25 Words Or Less. But I’m not just content with only one job, so I actually coach kids in acting and on my own line of candles called Cinemasecents. I also began a podcast back in 2019 called Rock and Roll Heaven, which I co-host with my brother and my husband. We cover the lives, careers, and deaths of famous musicians. And I also produce a podcast with reality stars Jon and Beth from The Real World called Getting Real with Jon & Beth. I am also a photographer and videographer because who needs sleep?

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With 15 jobs – yes there is a lot. Writer and actor strikes, growing pool of people in the industry, COVID, and so much more.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a Casting Producer, I specialize in finding niche stories and wonderful characters. It takes a whole team of people to find incredible talent and so I’m just one small part of a very large beast. And I would have to say I specialize in finding the stuff that most people find fascinating. Such as Ghost Hunters, Funko, pop, collectors, Guinness, book of world, record, hunters, and with my work on American Idol some of America’s best singers. And I wouldn’t say I was known for anything because it’s always a team effort to find the best.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Waking up every day knowing I can change someone’s life. I can make a dream come true or just make someone smile.
