Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaniel Peterson.
Hi Nathaniel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up singing in church. I always had a passion for music as a kid. Another one of my passions was technology. As a kid, a would break and fix computer while singing. Eventually, I began taking music seriously and going out and performing on a regular basis. As I improved my craft, I begin to develop a solid fan base and ended up working with heavyweights such as Dj Khaled, French Montana, Remy Ma, Fat Jo, to name a few. While pursuing music, I started went to school for Computer Information Systems and eventually acquired my degree. I worked on wall street for a few years to get the real-time experience in the field. Then I launched my own IT Firm. Now I merge the music with the technology, combining both passions.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely not been smooth for me. Especially with the challenge for raising my 16-year-old son on my own. I had him when I was 17 and in my last year of high school. So I long the way I had an extra responsibility that I had to always consider. I also signed a bad record deal at one point in my career that really discouraged my to the point of almost giving up.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a recording artist and songwriter. I am mostly know for many of my collaborations with other mainstream artists, such as LL Cool J, Dj khaled, Wu-Tang, Swizz Beatz, Fat Joe, Pusha T, French Montana, Chinx Drugz (RIP), Casanova, etc. My biggest accomplishment was creating my own mobile app that allows my fans to connect wit me directly. You can find it in any app store on iPhone or Android by searching “Nathaniel.” What sets me apart is that the music I make mostly comes from my experiences. I also have work really hard to merge the music and tech in any way possible.

I would like to say when chasing your dreams. Things may not happen when you expect them to. But they always happen when it’s the right time.
