Hi 1K*Guap, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was a part of a group that opened up for young dolph in my hometown. After the performance and seeing how humble and open dolph was to the fan, I decided to record my first song in 2015 and I’ve been serious about a music career since 2018.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road to being one of the greatest-known artists hasn’t been easy in any way. I’ve faced a lot of things that happened before during and after I started music but those things will make the story worth it in the end.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist. I try to not limit myself to one genre but I think my pain music is the best. I had a bird’s eye view in all the things I talk about and my outlook tends to be different from others.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
The meaning behind my name. A lot of people think I picked 1K because it’s trendy and when most hear Guap they think of money. But 1K is a 1 of a kind, and guap stands for “GOD USES AVERAGE PEOPLE” I’m a living testimony to both of those.
