Check out Chanel “Chanel B.” Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanel “Chanel B.” Brown.

Chanel B., we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Prophecied to be a Star by an Evangelical Grandmother my musical journey like most began in the church. At age three I discovered my love of music and soul. Following that instinct, after graduating high school, I moved from Lyons, NY to North Carolina to pursue a professional career. That is where the genre that I was focused on expanded to R&B and Soul. Having had success in North Carolina, I set my next goal to conquer Atlanta in 2016.

Since moving to Atlanta, I have started London Records LLC, of which I am the CEO, I established a following with my live solo performances as well as opened up for multiple established artists such as SILK and the S.O.S. Band.

The move to Atlanta proved to be the best one yet; I have made strides in the last two years that will lead me to new heights in my career.

2019 is gearing up to be a very productive year for the Chanel B brand. I have multiple performances, and television appearances lined up throughout the year.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am an entertainer; singing, song-writing, and acting are all parts of my craft. My passion is being a songstress; singing is apart of who I am. I have been singing since the age of 3; once I discovered my instrument, it was a partnership I could never separate from. My art is a collaboration of the new and the old school it is inspired by the likes of Keyshia Cole and Diana Ross, as well as others. I hope by incorporating personal experiences, I will both inspire and entertain people who listen to my music. The message that I want people to take away from me as an artist is that we as people can love and survive through any and all situations and circumstances.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
Conditions have become easier with the introduction of social media. With new platforms emerging every day makes it more convenient for new artists to have their music heard by the masses. I feel as though Atlanta is a perfect location for up and coming entertainers; however, I feel by creating more collaboration opportunities, i.e. (music war rooms, and internship programs) would create a more encouraging environment for those who are not already established in the industry.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My music can be located on all musical outlets
