Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisea Jones.
Hi Elisea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My Name is Elisea Jones, but most people call me “E.” Ever since I was a little girl, I loved sunglasses, my aunt even nicknamed me “Shady Lady.” I have pictures of me about 4-5 years old with sunglasses on and sometimes they would be upside down. I ran track for the majority of my life, which required being outside for 10 -12 hours every weekend, so you had to have a pair of sunglasses on at some point. At that point, my friends/teammates knew sunglasses were my staple piece for any occasion. May 2020, I finally decided to launch my business, “Shady Enough Eyewear LLC.” The name of a brand is one of the most important aspects because it ultimately defines your brand forever. Once I came up with Shady Enough, everything else fell into place. I started researching vendors and watching YT videos on starting a business, and I tailored everything to my specific needs. My passion for the fashion industry and accessorizing being one of my favorite things to do with simple outfits was also the motivation behind the brand. Every day is a different day to showcase how you feel through what you wear. Glasses can be your method of hiding or standing out. I am coming up on my first anniversary, and I honestly can’t believe it. Shady Enough was once just an idea, and I have seen it come full circle and can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The overall process was never easy and still isn’t. I learn something new every day, but I’m forever trusting the process. A difficult point for me was finding a vendor who could engrave my logo on my glasses because I didn’t just want to be another person selling sunglasses. That aspect was vital to me because I also feel like it would help with the longevity of my company when we start to expand. I’m also not the biggest social media fan, so staying consistent with posting and my overall social media presence can be challenging for me at times as well. One of my everyday quotes is “Control what you can control” somethings don’t always go the right way when you want it, but that doesn’t mean give up. Just go harder. Faith without work is dead!

I am currently in the profession of Sports Management. I am a hardworking, adaptable, driven individual who wants to impact the sports world in any way I can. I have a passion for all sports, driven by being an athlete for most of my life. I have experience with the Atlanta Falcons/Atlanta United and a boutique-style branding company. In addition, I was a sports performance trainer and an intern for two different college athletic programs while pursuing my undergraduate degree. Within Sports Management, I specialize in branding, project management, live events, and fan experience. Outside of fashion, sports is one of my biggest passions. The overall atmosphere and meaning of sports excite me and continues to fuel my passion daily. I think sports is one of life’s greatest teachers on different levels. I set myself apart from others by simply being myself and doing things that I believe are best for me and will put me in a position to elevate those around me.
