Check Out Nagia Symonette’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nagia Symonette.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a mother, recording artist, minister and cook. My life always revolved around music and food in 2015, I released my first Ep “I’m coming out” in 2019, I released a hot single named motivated which was nominated in my home country the Bahamas for urban gospel song of the year. Since 2016 I reside in Savannah, GA, I started my mobile kitchen, “Bahama Bay Catering,” after persons started asking me to cook my culture’s food so I thought why not make a side hustle out of it. I grew up in a “foody” environment my mother was a cook in the Bahamas and she had a very successful business. With all the experience I’ve gained through the years, I knew I had the confidence to cater my native food to the people of Savannah I serve dishes like fried conch fritters, jerk chicken wraps, salads and pasta, Although I’m far away from my goal I’m grateful to God for where he has taken me thus far.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve had to struggle to get a good clientle.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m known for writing good music and recording great urban hits. I’m also known for good Caribbean food.
