Check Out Brandon Horton’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Horton.

Hi Brandon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey in being a creative began when I was really young, I participated in a bunch of plays and I also created art pieces to express myself, and from there I really enjoyed performing in front of people and letting my creativity be a part of my identity. I later began to take acting and modeling seriously, so I took ALOT of classes with John Casablancas out of Nashville, TN to perfect my craft, I started getting noticed and more importantly, I began to get work, I found an amazing agent in Stephanie Patrick and from that day on I have continued to grow as an actor and as a model with each role that I get.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to where I am today has been rough, the biggest mountain I had to overcome was balancing actor Brandon and 9-5 Brandon during preparation for the roles I receive. I have learned how to do both, but now I’m leaning more into my creative side these days, but life worked out to where I can balance being an actor and being a business owner as well to fund my dream. I have a very strong wife, a very strong support system, and they hold me up when things get off balance for me. I found my confidence by getting on sets, observing other actors and how they carry themselves, and also by being brave and stepping into the light when it sometimes seems too bright. On the other side of those challenges, and those obstacles is freedom and

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an actor, I get to express myself in a way that is both cathartic and fun. To be able to book a role, and execute the role to the satisfaction of the Director, is a really empowering feeling. To get a part and put my own creative spin on the character being portrayed and also being told Brandon you did a great job is what brings me joy. I was on Ellen’s Game of Games Season 2 Episode 7, Lead actor Ezrah in The Feature film Revisiting The Heart (June in theaters), Lead actor Dray in The Lyric(June 7 Release Date), Featured Actor in Atlanta Season 4, Featured Actor in BMF Season 2, Print ad with ADS Security, work with NBC (TBA)and along with a ton of background work my resume is quite extensive.

I am most proud of any role I get they are all different and challenging in their own way, I love being pushed as an actor that is where you find your greatness and what sets you apart from the pack.

I think my work ethic is on a level that is hard to keep up with, I just try not to say no to great opportunities. I always believed that there is always a way to get to your dream and make it your reality.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
