Hi Carmen, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
About a year ago, my kids and I tried our best to deal with the lockdown due to COVID. We found ourselves spending much more time together than usual since the school was primarily all virtual at the time. At some point, I decided to start making TikTok videos to document all the funny things my kids were doing and all of our funny experiences. Each of my kids is the absolute best in their own right and super resilient even during a global pandemic. I decided to invest more time and energy into showing the world their personalities, so I started developing scripts and visions for the videos that ultimately went viral. They are funny, innovative, and brilliant beings, but still kids that do all the crazy stuff that kids do, and I love it! My kids are everything to me, and we move as a unit! Family over everything!
Since we started a year ago, we’ve been honored to be featured on the Kelly Clarkson show, MTV’s Ridiculousness, LAD Bible, Complex, and BET!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth at all since the onset of COVID. We’ve found ways to make the best of every moment and every situation.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Outside of my medical profession, I am a visionary who loves creating scripts and ideas for videos. Every video we’ve made has come from an authentic place of creativity during the most awkward moments. I will be at work when suddenly an idea will pop in my head; then I’ll rush home to get the kids in character to make it happen. I have always had a very active and creative vision when working on sets and photoshoots.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was the popular and hyperactive child – somewhat crazy yet charming. Imagine Chum and S’ky in one body – that was me!
