Check Out Faith Stewart’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Stewart.

Faith, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been a fan of Youtube since elementary, I watched Raven Elyse, Nazanin Kavari, Jayla Koriyan and Aaliyah Jay. I dreamt of one day being behind a camera aspiring young girls like me. I attempted Youtube 3 times growing up; with my best friend in 7th grade, by myself in 8th grade and with my roommate freshman year of college. I wanted to commit but I was always too scared. I used my mom’s makeup, wore my sister’s clothes, and balled on a budget at Rue 21, H&M and Forever 21 clearance racks. I always ‘overdressed” at school but I didn’t care what people said or thought because I was “THAT GIRL.” It wasn’t until the pandemic that I became more in-tune with myself. A friend gifted me a book called “Miracle Morning” and I developed a morning routine that shifted my outlook on life. Career goals was one of them, I entered college with security in mind and putting the Youtube dream under the rug. But the isolation the pandemic brought and confidence the book gave me, I was ready. My first post on Youtube was an Icon swim swimwear haul, August 5th, 2020 and gained over 110k views and my life changed.

As I became more confident in my social media presence, my sister began mentoring me. The beginning was so emotional for me because everything made sense and fell together. My sister revamped my social media pages, encouraged me, helped brainstorm new ideas and so much more. I began walking into the life of an influencer and the space I was in started to feel too small. I knew I should still be in school (North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University) but I knew I outgrew North Carolina. My sister (who was in Ohio) mentioned moving to Atlanta, GA. That sounded unreachable and unrealistic at the time but we took the proper steps, saved and didn’t look back. Atlanta offers opportunities, a creative space, and a go getter environment that makes me eager to work hard and consistently create content that will eventually touch millions of people. As I continue my journey to become one of the most influential content creators, I’m reminded by Kirah Omnique and Allyiahs Face to push through and not give up, that my time is coming, this is only the beginning.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Becoming a full-time content creator has many challenges, from going hotel to hotel with my tripod to get content, getting kicked out of places in the middle of getting content, filming, editing and uploading on my phone before I had the luxury of a computer and camera, people I thought were my friends began to see the fruits of my labor and placed expectations on me, people asking for advice to questions I couldn’t answer and the list goes on. BUT I trusted the process, set boundaries, continued to pray and keep God first.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a content creator on Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram and Twitter. I make fashion, beauty and lifestyle content that aims to encourage my peers to show up and show out. Most people are fond of my fashion style, I like to mix street with chic. I have my own style, my own flavor and I’m authentic. It is easy to fall into what society pushes in our face but I stay true to myself and hope others do as well.

What’s next?
I have a special surprise before summer 2022. Finishing up school and adding to the life of becoming a full-time entrepreneur.
