Today we’d like to introduce you to Frenchie.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up in the Wynnefield section of West Philadelphia PA, music has always been a big influence in her family. She grew up singing in the Youth and New Life Spirit choir at her church and was also a part of the school choir in elementary school. As a kid, Frenchie was always entertaining people by singing and dancing in school plays and also performing at talent shows. After discovering a Michael Jackson VHS tape with some of his hit music videos on it with her cousins, Frenchie instantly fell in love with music and knew that was what she was destined to do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The main struggle has been not being aligned with the right people and staying on a path to success without having outside influences trying to get in the way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an artist (singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, dancer, fitness trainer)! So, basically I wear many creative hats and I specialize in all of them. I’m known for literally everything that I do, let’s just say I work really hard.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My best friend Bre! She’s been a huge help with my career. I was pushing by myself for a long time. When me and her got close she told me “I’m your assistant” and has really been rocking with me ever since. The loyalty/dedication is real! My photographer friend Wave has helped as well, getting footage and photos of behind the scenes/shows, etc. My family, they come through when I need them. They helped me nurture some of my gifts! There are others that have made some contributions but the ones that I mentioned have helped me so much!
