Check Out Haadiyah Flagg’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haadiyah Flagg.

Hi Haadiyah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am born in Syracuse NY, grew up in Rochester NY. As I was living in Rochester NY it was rough. I faced a lot of adversities such as being a teen mom. I gave birth to my son at age 16. Currently a mother of two, my children is my motivation and kept me strong as well as my mother being my only support system. I beat the odds in my city by graduating high school while many of my peers have dropped out or lost their lives due to violence or suicide. The city I lived in was fast-paced and you have to fight through every situation to get what you want mentally and sometimes physically.

As a teenager in school, working and taking care of my child on the side, I would model for local fashion shows. I got my first job at age 15 and worked ever since. However, all the programs in college was not intriguing. I never wanted to be a worker although I’m a team player. I became an entrepreneur at age 18. I started selling Mary Kay beauty products in high school and loved being my own boss. I knew being an entrepreneur was for me. I have a diverse background in business and customer service. My family and I wanted a change and outgrown our environment. One year I decided to use my income tax to move us out of state to Pennsylvania so my mother can also follow her real-estate dream, she is currently a real estate agent! My sister wanted to move to Fayetteville, NC to join Airborne at Fort Bragg. She moved to NC my mother and I shortly followed when another income tax year came. I moved my mother and myself to NC where my sister was residing.

After experiencing many MLM businesses I realized I am too creative for a 9 to 5. I launched my own CBD vegan skincare line. The pandemic slowed down my business and I lost my full-time job due to Covid-19. I decided to work from home as a full-time entrepreneur. I started off as a content creator, from there I was able to pursue my modeling and acting career while still facing many adversities. The city I was raised in made me strong-willed. I am happy I was able to contributor to my family successes as I now reach mine and this is only the beginning….. I had great opportunities to work with Morris Chestnut, BJ Britt, Lance Gross, YaYa Dacosta, Joe Morton and many more.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My challenges I have faced is associating with the wrong people who taken my kindness for weakness which caused me to suffer major setbacks. I did not use discernment and made poor choices during hard times in desperation for help or assistance. I have faced homelessness at points of my life, financially hardships and lack of support. My faith and ambition has got me through all of my obstacles.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am currently an Actress, Model, poet and entrepreneur. I participate in fashion shows, networking events, invested in stocks, trade currencies and working on rebranding my skincare line. I have photoshoots that I display to build my digital portfolio as well as acting and being featured in shows such as Our kind of people and many more. I am known for my positivity, ambition and inspiring others to follow their dreams. I am most proud of having my children although I do not advise or promote teen pregnancy, my children has empowered me to be stronger then I ever thought I could be. What sets me apart from others is my authenticity and free spirit. I do not care what others think about me I am proud of who I am and value transparency.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters the most to me is financial freedom. Financial freedom matter most to me because I know what it feels like to be not as fortunate as I feel I should be. I want to pass down a legacy to my children and give back to the less fortunate. I want to break the generational curses in my family. I want the flexibility and freedom in my life to be there fully for my children and myself without having to sacrifice time away from them due to being overworked and underpaid.
