Check Out Jalen Griffin’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalen Griffin.

Jalen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Born and raised in Ypsilanti, I always wanted to be something be important to the world give others hope when there is no hope to be found. I always been like that so motivation speaking was just in my DNA how I got to where I am today. I was working at a Hospital & they called me to tell me a family was rushed to the hospital. I asked could I go they told me no if I left, I would be fired so I quit right there that’s when I looked at myself & said I will never let someone be in control of me like that. I took the rest of the money I had in my account & invested in myself three years later, my business been my main source of income if you would asked if I saw myself being a director & motivation speaker, I would’ve laughed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Naw, it’s been a rough road. I was homeless prior before my business took off getting arrested from not supposed to graduate my whole life been a challenge of obstacles thrown my way even with all this going on still going to school & playing football, I couldn’t Afford the dorms so I would stay with friends or teammates. I had to really man up & make something shake for myself nobody is going to just take your hand & do it for you sometimes you have to get it out of the mud.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a director, author & motivation speaker. I do Monday motivation every Monday where I speak life & self-worth to who all that need it love movies & want to tell story’s like real story’s that can make you feel again. I’m currently working on a film as we speak, it’s coming 2023 so make sure y’all tune in & I currently just wrote my first book ever. I would be never thought that would happen my book would be what I am most proud of growing up. I hated reading but now to see myself actually an author it makes me very proud of myself. A lot of people counted me out.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I took a lot of risks. I believe that sacrifice is the biggest thing we have to do in order to reach our goals. I took a risk on not working a 9-5 to crest my own way of income that shit was scary as hell & having a girl while doing that isn’t easy some women want to see results but I knew that it was a process I couldn’t pay attention to what’s in front of me I always seen the end goal
