Check Out Jimmy Stanford’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jimmy Stanford.

Jimmy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started getting into Beat making/ Producing when I saw one of my friends making beats in 2009. It continued to be a hobby until 2018 when placements and opportunities arose. I got to where I am today by staying consistent with uploading my finger drumming videos on all social media platforms.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I would say the road was not too bad for me because becoming a music producer was not my original dream/goal. I was always able to focus on the music and let everything around me just happen. I worked a job until 2019 before I went into music full time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Finger Drummer/ Beat Maker / Producer/ Teacher. I own a business called ”Finger drumming Academy” I teach inspiring Beatmakers how to Finger Drum with their MPC/ Beat Pad. The lessons are taught Via skype/zoom/facetime.

I specialize in Drum programming and Teaching the Beat Pad.

I am known for making beating videos on Instagram/ TikTok.

I Produced “I can’t go for that” by 2chainz.

I have starred in a GAP, McDonalds and Akai Commercial.

I would say the main thing that I am proud of is my Finger drumming academy business. Seeing people improve their music-making ability using my techniques is a feeling that money cant buy.

What sets me apart from others is probably the way I smile ear to ear when I’m really into my music-making process. I can pass the Energy of how I’m feeling threw the phone.

How do you define success?
Success to me when you’re at all times peace with yourself. I don’t believe Money or placements dictate your success.
