Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Talley.
Hi Joshua, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my photography and videography through enlisting in the Army. The Army taught me all of the beginning technical knowledge about photography and videography. After coming back from training, I enrolled into Kennesaw State University, where I used my photography and videography skill set to help improve multiple organizations in a visual aspect which helped me network across the Atlanta and Metro-Atlanta area. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of Living Royally LLC. team, being the Media Coordinator for the last six fashion shows that have put on in the city of Atlanta. My growth in this industry has come from friends and newly met people who have become regular clients or friends.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a very experienced rough road through this journey of learning and expanding. I’ve had struggles of the quality of the products I am putting out. I’ve had struggles of knowing the proper lighting in the studio that will give me the best quality of product. I’ve had the struggle of having a consistent flow of clients coming through. I’ve struggled with the work life, army life, social life, and managing my photography business all at the same time.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In my photography and videography work, I pride myself in being a versatile person that doesn’t have just one specialized avenue in a genre. I strive to be a jack of all trades when it comes to being able to do photography and videography for all kinds of services. I am known for accepting challenges from projects that I haven’t tried yet, and during the shoot, I try my best to educate my clients on anything about life, business, travel hacks, or just anything that I have knowledge about. I pursue a fun but educating experience each time with a client. I also pride myself in being a network to link models and makeup artists, creative directors to photographers, stylists to all of the above, and just bring groups of creatives together. I am most proud of all the memories I have been able to give clients that they will remember forever.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is growing up as a part of my life in Italy. Being able to see all those beautiful places that Italy has to offer. The only thing about that is I wish is that I was into photography to capture it all.
