Check Out Kierston Lewis’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kierston Lewis.

Hi Kierston, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been singing for over 20 years. The moment my grandma found out that I could carry a tune, she placed me in the church choir. I became a Background Vocalist prior to moving to Atlanta. The Lord asked me to move here to be a part of a growing ministry called Belong Church ATL. Here is where I serve as one of the worship leaders. I am also the CEO of my post-production company called Anora Edits. I have been Creative Directing since I was 13 and I am happy to say that Atlanta has afforded me many opportunities to do what I love since moving.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would be lying if I said that it was! Lol. Experiencing a complete lifestyle / environmental change took a bigger toll on my mental health than I previously anticipated. I often felt alone. The culture shock made it difficult for me to relate to Atlanta natives, which left me, socially, in the dark for the first couple of months.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a worship leader and background vocalist for my local assembly Belong Church ATL. I am also the Owner of my post-production company, Anora Edits. I specialize in creative direction and production. I am known to be a ‘jack of all trades’ because I often believe that most occupations require similar fundamentals but simply different methods of execution. I’m known for my administrative abilities, my keen eye for detail, and my natural care for people.

I am most proud of my faith in God. I only believe/do what he and his word says. I stand here still thriving and succeeding today because he was right about me and my future all along. Lol.

I genuinely believe that my heart for people and my advocacy for love sets me apart from others. In a world full of pain and pressure, love is often put on the back burner and we rely on our own definition of it based on our experiences and/or traumas. My life’s goal has been to love people with a true love that stems from the word of God and it has always been the change agent to every life that I’ve encountered.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Well, since the disease that shall not be named has been out and about, the media circuit and everything that comes with it has increased tremendously. So I do see my industry becoming all the more relevant and necessary in the years to come.
