Check Out Kristina Dixon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Dixon.

Hi Kristina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been a lover of baking and anything going on in the kitchen. For Christmas in 2017, I received a stand mixer and a cake decorating kit from my husband and there my cake journey began. I watched YouTube and Instagram videos day and night learning the basics and different techniques and practiced daily. I became obsessed with it. I started my business in 2018 and started making custom cakes and treats for order. Over the years I have continued to learn and expand my skills in different areas, I cannot see myself doing anything else.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely not been the smoothest. Raising 4 children while learning the craft of cake artistry is not the easiest. It has had its obstacles when it comes to work/life balance, but I think it has taught me to have more patience with myself and to push myself to be challenged.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So I specialize in custom cakes for every occasion from birthdays to weddings. I offer a wide variety of flavors and fillings, and bake every layer with love! I am most proud of my ability to relocate from Orlando to Marietta and be able to connect with such amazing clients at such a fast rate! I believe what sets me apart is that I genuinely care about my craft and take my time to make sure every cake exceeds my client’s expectations. Each cake order that comes in is a blessing and is treated as such.
