Check Out Michele Metzger’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Metzger.

Hi Michele, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Alpharetta, GA. My interests included competitive gymnastics, violin, swimming, and traveling. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. While at UGA, I studied music in Austria and was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra. From a young age I always knew I would become a performer. I dreamed about a career in film and television as well as being a professional violinist.

My hobbies include spending time with family, walking my dogs, baking and photography.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I finished college I began working in the film industry. I fell in love with acting and knew it was what I wanted to do. Shortly after beginning this journey, I unexpectedly lost my father. His death was the hardest thing I have ever been through. Dad was proud of me for getting into an industry I knew nothing about. He always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. The film industry can be brutal, I have wanted to give up more times than I can count. I realized I was not going to get anywhere without putting in a lot of hard work and dedication. After 3 years, I am proud to say I am SAG eligible and have representation from East Coast Talent Agency.

My biggest accomplishment is pursuing my music professionally. Until recently, I only performed in an orchestra setting, now I play as a soloist. It took me years to feel confident enough go out on my own. It has been an incredible journey and I am forever grateful for the people in my life that have always cheered me on.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I like to say I do a little bit of everything. I am a violinist, actress, model, entrepreneur, freelance content creator, brand ambassador, and small business owner. I perform at events, proposals, weddings, birthdays, and in productions. Look for me in “Sweet Magnolias” on Netflix, Glenwood Avery’s “World Change” music video, and the upcoming B.E.T. movie “Hello”. I am a proud new member of The Atlanta Scoring Orchestra and Mutech Lab.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My happiness comes from helping others, doing good and spreading joy. I also like to make people laugh. My dad was this way too. When you give love, you get love in return. We are all just walking each other home.
