Today we’d like to introduce you to Milk Tattoo. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Jason lee also known as milktattoos owner of making ink look kool tattoo shop tattoo artist/ piercer/ painter.
Originally from Detroit, MI
Milk is a self-taught tattoo artist and has been tattooing for over ten years. He was working a retail job in the mall when he made up his mind that he didn’t want to let anyone determine how much he would be able to make in an hour, so he ordered a tattoo machine, quit on his lunch break and didn’t look back! He started out as a mobile tattoo artist then worked his way up into several shop opportunities over the years in Atlanta and opened his very own.
Making ink look kool (milk) is a very unique and professional tattoo shop located on the north side of Atlanta. The comfortable atmosphere, the kool artists, the kool art on the walls, and exceptional customer service means you’ll be sure to have above average experience here.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a new business? Smooth? Lol, noooo never a completely smooth road but I’ve learn from trial and error and everything is going very smooth now. I have two awesome and established tattoo artists who work in my shop now so that’s definitely a lot better for the business as well to allow us to grow more as a unit.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I enjoy doing custom pieces, where I collaborate with my clientele to create the ideal piece of art for their body, striving for perfection in this competitive industry. I put equal amounts of thought and creativity into each piece of art; as though I were designing the tattoo for myself. Some of my favorite styles to tattoo are new school, traditional, cover ups, color, big pieces and custom drawings. I’m also a piercer and painter. I paint everything from shoes, clothes, murals, canvases, face and bodypaint! Availability by appointment only check out more of my work on ig @milktattoos or my website milktattoos.com.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
A lot of people only know me for my art such as my tattoos, my drawings, etc but I also have a passion for music and have actually been creating music a lot longer than painting and doing tattoos.
