Hi Mya, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in the city of Camden, New Jersey I’ve always been a child that has been involved in every extracurricular activity there was to offer. I have always been musically inclined and have been involved in dance school and piano lessons since the age of 4. Dance has always been a form of expression for myself and helped me be able to tell my story without physically speaking. Throughout my Highschool career, I have been involved in cheerleading, majorette dancing, track, and running a business. My first business was my clothing line which is (MSB- Mya’s Boutique LLC). For my 16th birthday, my mother purchased my very first LLC and told me how I would be such a successful business owner. Having both parents in my life as two thriving entrepreneurs has truly set the tone of inspiration in my life to become an entrepreneur. In my second year of business with my clothing line (2020), I was able to accumulate my first 5 figures as a full-time entrepreneur at 18 years old.
As a teen, I’ve worked more jobs that I could count on both of my hands. I have always been a responsible young woman with leadership and discipline, however becoming a successful entrepreneur by the age of 18 has truly made me realize my worth. After attending four years at my Highschool (Dr. Charles E Brimm Medical Arts Highschool) with the idea to pursue a career in nursing, it wasn’t until my 12th grade year I decided not to go forward with the interest. Throughout my Highschool years, I’ve always been involved in programs at Ostepathic Medical Schools, college courses, internships at scientific institutes and more. I have a strong relationship with God, and after asking him to show me what it is I need to do to find my true passion and be satisfied with my choice of career, he showed me that I am able to be a successful business owner and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 2 years ago, I made my entrance to the illustrious Clark Atlanta University as a business administration major with a concentration of marketing.
Despite of my excellent performance in academics, I struggled breaking out of my shell being as though I am in a new state with no family, friends, or any type of familiar things. With that being said, I turned to social media as an outlet for me to have fun, express my thoughts and share my college experiences. Little did I know that documenting my college activities, student life and balancing my entrepreneurship would take me as far as it did as well as being paid for it. It also led to bringing in friendships of those who share the same backgrounds, interests and personalities as myself. This was the start of my unexpected content creator lifestyle. Content creation has brought nothing but abundance into my life. I am now a wig influencer, product and food reviewer, vlogger, influential travel guide, and many more. With the help of social media, I was able to help fund the start of my second business which is being an AirBNB host at the age of 20. All of my businesses are successfully running through the grace of God himself and the influence of my parents who I don’t know where I’d be without.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a business owner has been a roller coaster ride but the result of it all is so extremely worth it. What makes it the most hard is being away from my loved ones at such a young age and being informed of the passing of my family members while trying to maintain academic and entrepreneurial success. From the outside looking in, it always appears glitter and gold but no one truly understands the hardships of balancing personal life, with trauma, grief, great performance, student academics, distractions, while being a firm believer of God and having faith.

I am most known for being a Black Girl on Tik Tok who enjoys living a soft, luxurious lifestyle while balancing entrepreneurship and college life. I also specialize in beauty as such as lashing and makeup for select clientele. I am most proud of starting my AirBNB business being as though it has been a goal of mine since 2020. What sets me apart from others is that I will go for any business venture, ideas, or thoughts and actually bring them to reality. I am not one to share goals and aspirations that I know I have no actual intention on starting the process of working towards. I will do everything I say I will do with the help of God.
