Today we’d like to introduce you to Rayna Brown.
Rayna, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I am a Worship Leader, Author, Entrepreneur, Motivational Speaker, with a passion to connect people to God’s heart. An unfortunate event in my life caused me to retreat into a hole feeling shameful and unworthy. It stole my gift, my voice, my confidence, and all God put in me until God snatched me out of that place of darkness. He restored my heart. There was such a powerful re-connection to Him that is now my daily power source! I promised God if He did it for ME, I would commit my life to helping others connect and re-connect to His heart! I am no longer ashamed, fearful, in hiding or feeling powerless! I have Godfidence and know all I do will impact someone, even if it’s just one!
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I lead worship in my local church wherever God leads me and I write Christian and Gospel songs. I blog/vlog about my faith and “serve the tea” on inspirational thoughts and declarations of God’s thoughts on us! I create apparel with messages of declarations and scripture, and I write devotionals that connect people to God’s heart to help lead them to an understanding as to who they are through HIM. I speak whenever invited (or maybe not J ) about several topics (i.e., building worship and creative teams, transitioning corporate worship, motivational, etc.) Through all of my songs, books, speaking, apparel and merchandise, I pray that anyone feeling lost or just need to connect/re-connect with God’s heart can do that through all He leads me to do.
My passion is to help people heal from the things and happenings in life that have made us feel worthless and build our faith walk and intimacy with God! Whether it’s a song, a social post, a blog or vlog video, devotional, a simple nice deed or just serving up some good ole’ “inspirational tea,” I want people to know that God and I love them and they can recover!
What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
Success in my eyes is when I see someone’s life changing through my artistry and gifts. One person or one thousand people…just change.
I feel AUTHENTICITY is essential in succeeding. Being authentic to who we are will always lead us to growing and being better. God will reward us and people will be attracted to authenticity which means they will be attracted to your artistry.
